Turban Tales is a Rooftop Punjabi Dhaba themed pub - a happening place with chic, modern and reinterpretation of Punjabi Culture and hospitality. With impressive cocktails and Mocktails and even more impressive ambience, Turban Tales feast you with most covered Punjabi Cuisines at attractive prices.

               

The ambience is set up totally like a Punjabi Dhaba. This place is amazingly furnished with Khaat style seating (The perfect dhaba style seating). They also have couches and Long stools where tables were made out of Tractors Bumper.

You also have a Bhopu(horn) at your table to call the waiters.

This place offers a perfect balance of flavours with desi Style cocktails and amazing decor and inviting Ambience overlooking a little part of powai lake, illuminated JVLR and IIT.

The serving size is set on the idea of Individual portions and prices are set accordingly. Being more of a drinking Joint, this gives options for light eating as well as individual portions let you order your own favourites dishes. So you don't have to compromise if your friend has to eat Dal and you want some good butter chicken.

The best part is the reasonably priced alcohol and their unique concoctions of mocktails and cocktails which is influenced by Punjabi Style Serving in Big Glass. I will definitely recommend - Love form Southall & Smoke of love.

They mainly served Punjabi Food with a twist so that it can meet the local expectations and taste. For starters, they have some impressive Achari Paneer Tikka, Kurkure Paneer, Chatpatey Honey Aloo and Tikka momos for vegetarians and prawns koliwada, Tikka supreme, lamb roti kebab, Patiala fry chicken for non-vegetarians.

For mains, I have tried Angrezon Da Chicken Tikka and Mummy-di-Dal that is served with complementary coin paratha or your choice of bread. I loved the Mummy-di-dal, accompany it with a lacha paratha or a Butter naan and enjoy simple pleasures of life. The biryani was quite decent and a little dry, not one you will commonly find in Mumbai.

Overall, I will recommend this place for the Dhaba style Experience with Punjabi Music, Inviting Ambience & Amazing Concoctions of Mocktails & Cocktails with adecent fare of North Indian Delicacies.

My recent love for Momos just went to another level after visiting this small little stall that serves lips making varieties of Momos. This place outside Brownie Point, Opp - Shreejis In Oshiwara is famous for its delectable momos that are made fresh in front of you.

                                                 

As we know, Finding Momos was a difficult task in Mumbai as compared to Delhi. But now there are many Joints that serve these Tibetan Steamed Delicacies.

The best think about Everest Momos is that they make dumpling from the whole wheat Dough and you can get it Steamed as well as fried.

It is amongst the most pocket-Friendly and healthy snacking Option available in Oshiwara.

Not only Momos, do try their delectable Chicken Lollipop and Crispy Thread Chicken.

One thing we have realized that - Gluttony is not a sin at Bombay Barbeque.

                       

The best thing about Bombay Barbeque is the roaring hot griddle that stands at the center of the table. It assures that the marinated vegetables, seafood and meat is served smoking hot to the guests and this lives up to the spirit of Bombay Barbeque.

They have various live counters, my favourite one is the Oriental counter where you can make your own stir fry by choosing your own ingredients and proteins.  Along with this, they have a live pasta counter, Chaat counter and pizza counter.

Bombay Barbeque have many droll worthy options for main course. The food counters filled with tantalizing varieties of dishes and delicacies that excited us with every serving.  The cuisine offered on platter were mainly North Indian, Mughlai, Chinese and some of the regional Indian cuisine that keeps on changing. During our Visit. they had different kinds of Puri with Chettinad curries.

They have a well-spread dessert section with the varied varieties of contemporary sweets to traditional ones. You can spot steaming hot jalebis being churned out from one of the counter and then drool-worthy desserts on the other side. The stone cold ice cream counter will surely satiate your cravings.

As we righty know, great food comes with great service and Bombay Barbeque lives up to the same when it comes to hospitality. The staff was always on their toes to give you best of the experience and hospitality. Moreover they will bring a smile to your face when they perform on top Bollywood numbers.

Some highly recommended dishes will include - crispy corn, Cajun spiced potatoes, grilled fish & Chicken, mutton seekh kebabs, palak patta chat, kurkure Bhindi, jalebi with rabri, chicken tangri and biryani. Pastas and pizza are also class apart, depends on how you gives instructions to the live Counter guy.

Overall, Bombay Barbeque is a nice place to treat yourself or any of your personal and corporate event.

The House of Mirabella" with five different properties- Mirabella Lounge, The Shot Bar, Mirabella Café, Khaleesi and The Terrace  - all under one roof, gives you 5 options to unwind yourself and will spoil you with incredible music, exceptional cuisines, and a truly beautiful environment. Every section has its own charm and makes you feel like visiting over & over again.

                     

That is the reason it is considered the best lounge in Andheri with the best crowd and music. They have many events like ladies night, Sufi night, karaoke night, commercials, Hip- hop, Bollywood nights, live music, sports screening etc. that unfolds spirit of Mumbai as a party hub.

We were invited for their new menu tasting and welcomed by Chef Sahil Luthra who is looking after Khalesi (One of the 5 venues at 'The house of Mirabella'). Chef Sahil treated us with no. of dishes prepared by him and his team.

We started off our meal with the classic French Onion soup that is made with Chicken broth. As we were at Khaleesi, we have tried many of Middle-Eastern delicacies with a few best dishes from Mirabella Lounge and cafe. Khaleesi is situated at first floor, this place is huge with beautiful terrace where you can enjoy your day under sky.

We had a lot of appetizers flowing in from the fusion Indian Appetizers like Manchurian Sev-Puri to the western classics delicacies to the Middle-Eastern Mediterranean cuisine. The house of Mirabella has everything on the menu to excite your taste buds.

We loved the Chicken Gyros, Lamb Cigars, Potato Rosti with Caramelised Onions & Sour Cream, Chicken Pataka/Tapas and the mezze platter.  The appetizers were really awesome.

For the main course, Chef Sahil treated us with his personal favourite Olive Tapenade Spaghetti. A simple dish that can make you crave for ages. This was accompanied by Mexican Juicy Lucy Burger.

There’s also plenty of variety to choose from in the drinks menu as well. We have tried the Corronito and Nutty Martini.

Overall, Mirabella stands out as a perfect party destination for me with good music, food and drinks. With its 5 different venues, it serves as a one-stop location to treat yourself.

As the name suggest, the terrace is a fully air conditioned rooftop bar and lounge. This place has chilled and sporty vibe.

              

The main attraction here is the hookah and brilliant concoctions of

Drinks. Food is mediocre and service is slow. The menu is pretty limited and the price was not justified as well.

They have a huge screen which displays live cricket and football matches. Perfect for ipl matches and club football. We love the seating arrangement that makes you feel you are chilling at your own terrace.

TDL experience at Delhi's Famous Keventer's Outlet in Mumbai !!

The famous milkshake from Delhi - keventers has finally made it to Mumbai, Bangalore and other cities. Keventers has become one of the fastest growing franchise of this year. They have recently touched the mark of 1oo stores across India

                    

After a raving social media buzz and hearing so much about Keventers, we finally went this weekend to the overcrowded outlet on Carter Road, Bandra. It was disappointing as they have served us warm Milkshakes.

The place has got 15 to 20 types of milkshakes generally in range of Rs.125 and 200 for small and large bottles respectively. There was nothing extraordinary about the milkshakes apart from good flavours. We will highly recommend chocolate flavoured milkshakes and strawberry milkshakes.

In all keventers lives up to all the hype it's created and offers good milkshakes in Mumbai, being one of its first Beverage Parlour. As they are following the franchisee model, they need to be strict with their quality parameters, otherwise in time we will see the diluted image of Keventers.

Andheri Lokhandwala has a new Fast Food Joint that serves Lip- Smacking Pastas dor Under Rs.150 : Foodinn's Cone-T-Go

Lokhanwala's very famous 'Foodinn' has launched their all vegetarian Fast food joint "Cone-T-Go". This small joint is planning to cater takeaways as well as food delivery of everyone's favourites comfort food in innovate style & packing.
                                 

They have everything in their menu from Chats to Dosas, Fries to the indo-italian pizza's and pastas. The dessert section is Lip- smacking as well, with different varieties of waffles - all priced below 100.

Coming to food, I loved the varieties of pasta over here, they are certainly not the best but who doesn't like pasta for under Rs.150.
Then Chaath section is quite decent as well. You can be assure of healthy and hygenic stuff without losing the original flavours.
The best part is the different varieties of small bites they have on their menu. They serve all the Fries and poppers in an Edible savoury waffle cone. I liked the Masala fries, Butter Chilly garlic Fries, cheese corn balls and Hara Bhara kebabs.
The south Indian Section comprising of dosa and different variety of idli is yet to be tried but I am confident that they are going to match up the expectations.


What impressed me at Cone-T-Go is the pricing with comes with quality and quantity. This is a great place for a little treat to break up your day and a great place to treat your kids as well.

Craving for Steaming hot paratha or rajma chawl, Get ghar-ka-khana at One Fry Day in Versova

So you aren't from Mumbai and missing some goodness from back home (North)? 

     

One fry Day is all set to make you nostalgic by bringing alive Flavours Of homemade food. It stirs up the most coveted Punjabi food for homesick people who live far away from their families.

This place is a 'tiffin service turned a small eating joint' serves lip-smacking, fresh and quality food without burning a hole in your pocket. The food is cooked at their home by the ladies including owner’s mom. The food is simple yet flavourful.

Pamper yourself with some Rajma Chawal,  kadi Chawal, cholley Chawl (Rs 80 each) or parathas(Rs 50 each). You can also check out their daily specials,  it was 'Langar wali Dal' when I visited last. I will highly recommend you to order their daily specials (Thali).

As it is located near Chai Coffee Beach, a popular hangout spot, they also have options of the Fries & poppers served in a cone to feed the young crowd. That's like an eat-n-go thing for the people visiting the beach. They also have a fancy soda machine from frooters.in and serves some unique flavours like pink Guava & mojito.

Tibetan Food: The mystery is finally solved once your visit New Sernyaa in Oshiwara, Andheri(W)

Friendliness, hospitality, generosity and selflessness are the basis of Tibetan etiquette. And experiencing the same is a delight for anyone specially those who have tasted the Tibetan food before.

     

New Sernyaa is located near Lotus Petrol Pump, next to Cafe Simla. This place is difficult to find but hard to miss. This small eatery reflects a small eating joint in Tibetan landscape of mountains and the hill culture in a city like Mumbai.

Steamed Chicken Momos

It seamlessly blend its warm & simple theme with traditional Tibetan & Chinese Food. The emphasis is on serving Authentic and exotic Tibetan cuisine and ambiance can be ignored. 

Fried Pork Momos

When you are waiting after placing the order the aroma of the food will take your curiosity to another level. I was overwhelmed by the quantity of the food, but then the taste of food is so surreal that it was not a difficult task to lick the plate clean. This places satiate my Momos craving and i find the best momos here served with 3 different sauces.

Some of the popular and my favourite dishes are Momos(They have various options), thupka soup , bamboo rice and steamed Tibetan bread which you might have to preorder.

Service and delivery is quick and friendly. Doors open early at around 11.30 am. This place is popular among nearby office goers for satisfying their Craving for delicious food. I found the prices a little high but yes, the gastronomical experience they offer is worth it.

PS - If you don't like Tibetan cuisine, they also have Chinese food option in the menu for your rescue.
