Moonshine Cafe & Bar, Mumbai - Review

First things first - the crazy roof light will make you definitely click a Selfie or a Picture of it does really set the place apart from the rest. Before we delve into Food Review, let's talk about the ambience of this lounge cum Bar. With a young lounge ambience, this place has the luxury of space, spread over two floors  - a palatable lounge at level 1 with amazing roof lights with warm tones and a color pop at Bar, making it the highlight of the space. The rooftop has a cozy feel.  Moreover, the music enchanted the mood further.

 

 We have mingled with Old Delhi Style Botti Kebab, Butter Chicken Tarts, Pepper & cheese spring rolls and Tempura fish & chips !!The starters were the finest I had in a long time. They were not at all filling, yet very light on palate. Enjoy your Drink with Butter Chicken Tarts - an unusual preparation of Tarts filled with Simple butter chicken. Tempura fish & Chips can be avoided - due to its batter - it was drenched in Oil.

Drinks that set our mood - Badman Extracted and Moonshine Sour - they were all refreshing with light amount of Alcohol to make you enough high yet enjoy the flavors.

For the main course, meat lovers can feast on Delhi's legendary - Changezi Chicken. Indian breads will let you down as it becomes chewy towards the end of the meal. Also, the onions served as salad lacked attention - it had the roots (check Picture for ref).

As it is more of a drinking and a party place - dessert section includes only 2 choices - Mawa Cheese Cake and chocolate brownie. We had our hand over the Mawa Cake !!

PS - Waiting staff needs to be aware about what they are serving or what ingredients is there in the dish or drink. The staff needs to calm down on their tone.

Hate the thought of getting out in the rain to eat something but still want to eat some delicious Chinese food. Don't worry !! We have Mandarin kitchen serving hot & lip-smacking Chinese till late night I.e 3am.

                 

Mandarin kitchen is basically a delivery only concept but managed to have a small and warm seating options. And believe me, there is no better thing than eating the hot&fresh food served right away than delivery.

The best part is they are quick on service and home deliveries and the kitchen looks clean and hygienic. It’s a small Joint so don’t expect a comfortable ambience.

Portion size is generous enough. The quality of the food is good enough and special attention is given in selecting quality ingredients. Must point out the chicken they use, it was just perfect- tender and succulent. I got to know after that there are types of chicken and choosing the right one for a cuisine is an art.

The perfect replacement for the regular Chowmein and Fried Rice, here is an shot of San Ton Noodles in Chilli Basil Sauce and Fried Rice with Hot garlic chicken which we had recently at @mandarinkitchenasianfood Review to be out soon !! Go Panda, Lokhandwala - Andheri(W)

Go Panda serves some really delicious & stomach stirring #panasian Delicacies and Pocket-Friendly Meal of the day that suits the best for a scrumptious lunch.

             

It has brought alive the local taste of street food served in different parts of Asia. I loved the way they have set their menu.

So they have some kind of live kitchen, and it seems that hygiene is well-taken care off. While you are eating at this small joint, I can assure you that the service is pretty quick so is their food delivery.

If you feel you're tired of eating home cooked food and decide to go out for a meal with your buddies,make it a special one by opting for one of the finest pan Asian cousins near you. The whole menu is worth trying at least once as they have some really unique, innovative and best of fusion dishes that have been crafted with experiments with flavors while retaining classic tastes from around the Asia. Definitely, I can't say the food is authentic but yeah they have made it well according to Indian palette.

Thai Street Noodles

Some of the Go Panda's best offerings are Slopy joe sandwich, Thai jungle curry, Burmese khow-suey, honey chilli chicken pot rice, Malaysian korma, Twisted Asian omelette & lemon coriander soup.

      

Ps - The unconventional dishes,the raw ambience and wide range of flavours make GoPanda something to try out.

Yalla Yalla - Middle Easten StreetFood, Andheri Lokhandwala

Lately, they started delivering food till 3 a.m. This is the best thing that happened so far making it  one of my favourite place for late Night Eats.

 

Paneer Shawarma

This place is a little gem for Lebanese Food in Andheri and Yes, they have done equal justice to vegetarians as some of the vegetarians delicacies -the Zaatar, Batata Hara and paneer shawarma are just amazing and will make you go Yalla Yalla

Zaatar

 The chicken shawarma is the star and the Kebab meals and big chicken roll are great.  Nachos are done up well with a little twist and my All Time Favourite – Dajaj Hara never let me down.

Middle eastern street food at its best and this Dadaj Harra @yallayalla was ironical. Milkshake & Co. - Lokhandwala

Milkshake & Co is a quaint little place in Lokhandwala market (Andheri) and if you are a milkshake fan then  you can't resist to indulge in a creamy, smooth and chilled milkshake in this scorching heat !!!

This place is nothing like a cafe. The decor is simple and completely done with white -  giving it a touch of a classic American diner or giving it a void impression.

Opted for Nutella Milkshake it was yummy and filling. The shake is served in a nice tall glass which is more than sufficient to fulfill my chocolate craving....

The classics french Vanilla Milkshake was mind Blowing with a subtle and balanced taste.

I wish if they have miniatures so that I can taste more of its flavours at one time.

Now coming to waffles, they were not baked perfectly and taste was average. Bu the Belgian Dark Chocolate topping and the scoop of icecream was rich and sublime.

Ayaz's - The kebab Palace , Juhu

I went out on a stroll and saw this little place near Novotel and their display (stream of smoke from the open sigdi - loaded with kebabs and Tikkas) tempted me to try that.  And I can say that We have got a kebab palace in Juhu and now you don't have to go to town -Ayub's or Gokul's or Mohd. Ali Road to have a tikka roll or Reshmi roll.....

Ayaz is one of the few place in Andheri to serve kebab and rolls.......

The quality of food is good and obviously as you can see in the pictures How tempting there Grill(sigdi) is looking. Prices are also nominal. The rolls here are the best. Do try the Chicken Tikka and Chicken Seekh Kebab rolls and if you are in search for something spicy then go for kali Miri tikka.
It doesn't  have place to sit so its best to get a takeaway or eating in your car.

Ps - If you like Tikkas and Kebabs in rolls on a light pocket, standing on the footpath or eating in your car, then Ayaz is the place to go.
