Restaurant Review Royal China : Fort, Mumbai

Royal china as the name suggests is a Chinese fine dine restaurant and trust me it was as royal as it could be. From cutlery to staff to ambience to food, everything gave a very royal and special feel. And in spite of we visiting it on a Friday evening we received the perfect service.

Here are the list of things we had:
1:Cranberry kiss
Tangy mocktail and as the name suggests it had a perfect touch of cranberry.

2:Cosmo
Thought its a common cocktail but the perfect blend of vodka and cranberry juice made it special.

3:Green puerh chinese tea
The tea was served in a very pretty tea pot and cups. The fragmented Puerh tea is a kind of a healthy beverage, which not only has a long history of Chinese Tea, but also helps in reducing weight.

Dumplings:
We tried to cover three variants of dumplings,ie.poultry, seafood and vegetarian.so in seafood we had prawn and crap dumpling which was simply amazing.soft, juicy and finely cooked ,in poultry we tried Chicken and chive dumpling which was comparatively average whereas in vegetarian we had mushroom black fungus dumpling and was really good, mushrooms very finely chopped and tasted really nice.
We also tried the famous turnip cake with burnt garlic and was amazed by how they have tried to match their dishes with the Indian taste and how it actually did perfect justice, the mixture of turnip and burnt garlic was simply amazing and the combination of both turned out really well and is definitely a must try.

Appetisers:
Vegetable lettuce wrap is a good healthy option if you are looking for one, the presentation was really appealing and was served on a bowl filled with veggies and crispies, the salad tasted good but was slightly bland for my liking. In poultry we ordered Sweet shredded chicken, the chicken was properly cooked and delicious.

Main course:
We had vegetarian royal china lotus leaf rice which was served in a typical way, it was simply delicious and every bite of rice had the flavour. Pan fried noodles with vegetables tasted lovely and had a spicy tangy taste with a little gravy on the top. Pomfret with sweet chilli sauce is another must try here, it was soft and juicy and flavourful.
Flaming chicken in superior sauce is their another signature dish, and if your looking for some unique act than its just perfect! Its served in a flaming dish and the sauce and nicely cooked chicken makes it a must try here.

Deserts:

Both the deserts that we had were different and good in their own way. Missing the Honey Noodles here is simply not recommendable, Honey noodles is one of their classic desserts and was great. Rich walnut pie was lovely, the extra softness and the ice cream at the top made it even better.
