Catch the tasteful Mediterranean cuisine at Amuse House, New Delhi

The food goes beyond my imagination.
Amuse House, a European Bistro, gives out a subtle vibe of European spring. Catch the tasteful Mediterranean cuisine at Amuse House - located at Ansal Plaza, Khel Goan #SouthDelhi

I have introduced myself to a lot of unexplored Mediterranean dishes. The best part is they have amazing drinks to pair with and bread basket to start with!!

We started with a heady concoction i.e Amusetini(Bourbon Whiskey, cranberry marmalade, egg served with caramel Popcorn) and Refreshing Kiwi Kulama (Vodka with fresh Kiwi , fresh cucumber, citrus & gomme).
For the Non-alcoholics, Vit -C (fresh orange juice with rocksalt, citrus and roasted cumin) , B-Thirsty(Fresh orange juice, beetroot and edible flower)
and Pomegranate Lemonade was the perfect pick.

We nibbled some Mediterranean classics i.e Hummus & Pita and some Falafels and not to miss- the Chicken and Mushroom Bourak, Chicken Liver Pete.
We had lamd chops and pork belly and they were hands-down phenomenal. Also, Mexican stuffed bell peppers served to be a good vegetarian snack.

Apart from usual hackney picks of meat, paneer or mushrooms, and despite the law of diminishing marginal utility (in this case, the menu) I still found myself diving with great enthusiasm into Cream Cheese served with soaked Beetroot glazed with freshly squeezed orange juice - something to drool for.

Still saving some space for mains, the linguini Pasta is worth to bent for while risotto cooked with barley was decent.

The food, texture and the presentation shipped my taste buds to a new high. Many of the ingredients were imported, the meat to the spices, in preference of keeping the originality. Amuse house serves the most authentic Mediterranean food you would ever taste - right in the heart of New Delhi!

We ended out of Mediterranean Food exploration with the #MedBox - consisting of different Sweets included the most famed - baklava.

PS: In an abrasive and hectic city like Delhi, this is a sanctuary of the first order with a cozy vibe that is hard to resist and so easy to slip into, comfort food with big bold flavours and a chirpy vibe. I’m definitely heading back to treat my taste buds, again.

Tea Villa, Bandra(W)

This place has got raving popularity. Right from introducing the concept of a Tea Cafe, to the beautiful interiors with a pleasant and a happy feel, the beautifully curated menu and the beloved waffles.
This is the place with the right mood. The presence of zodiac signs , a lady dressed and standing with tea cups, tea trivia posters and a colour combination of black & white will make you stay back and you will walk out with a complacency of time well spent.

Service is quick but i found the staff little less attentive. And this is one of the cafes with a wallet parking and in area like Bandra, we are all familiar with the perks of that.

This place is known for their varieties of Tea. And if you are not a tea person then also, tea villa will not disappoint you with its vivid varieties of coffee and other beverages.
Speaking about the food they have some really impressive options and the best of it are their waffles. I am obsessed with their waffles, they are the best & something not be missed - fit to satisfy your soul.
As mentioned above, they also have some really good and unusual option to munch and feast on. You can choose from pancakes, waffles, pizzas, starters, soups, salad fries, dimsums, burgers sandwiches, bagel, pasta, sizzler, completing the lot with some options of lebanese, pan-asian, Mexican & continental dishes. So you can eat anything that suits your mood.

PS - Perfect place to spend some composed and calm time* sipping your favourite beverage with some delicacies.
*Composed time doesn't come with empty space. Tables are generally full on peak hours.

About Me !!

I have moved to mumbai some 3 years back and blogs about the food i make and eat. Restaurant reviews from Churchgate to Virar  & Thane and beyond!

My name is Maanik and I am a food blogger. Here you can find my restaurant reviews and thoughts on foodie things.

I really like to write and talk about food and dining out.I don't claim to be a connoisseur of food, nor an expert on how authentic a cuisine can be. But I know enough of pastas, sizzlers and steaks after years of continuous eating. I strive to give an honest opinion of the experience we had at a restaurant, the food, the ambiance and those aspects that you would look for when scouting for a place to eat. I believe opinions on restaurants are formed on your first visit there. If you had a bad experience, you are unlikely to go back. I don't expect everyone to agree or like my opinion, but then, we all have different palates don't we!
